From all the old timers i have talked to the closest person to JFK they have ever seen is Obama. He is charismatic and is in this race to change the old guard of politics and bring some new life to the democratic process. He is respected by many Americans and has the capability to become a great leader for this country. There is an unprecedented number of new voters for this election which shows that this country is taking a more active role in its country's politics, partly due to the ruin this country has seen in the past 7 years of the Bush administration.

I think he does bring to mind images of the Kennedy's, right down to the botched security in Dallas. I'm not sure if the folks on the hill are ready to answer for there actions. To have someone shine such a bright light on this countries spending habits and our strange bed fellows. This man advocates letting the public access records to see where there tax dollars are spent, not since Jimmy Carter has a guy had such idealistic notions and in the end he was made out to be a hillbilly buffoon and all his work preserving the evironment was completely under minded by the following administration simply because with him what you got was what you saw. An honest man with old fashioned values who would not bend with the breeze of the popular vote of congress. Whatever your choice is this year, this is certain the last few years have taught us that we can not afford to sit back and let others determine our fate and complain about it later. Every voice should be heard so get out and vote!!!
I was around when Kennedy was president, albeit young, I remember the excitement he caused even before the election. But to compare Barack Obama to him is like comparing apples to oranges. Obama seems to command even more excitement than JFK. I really can't say why, but I'll ask me remaining family who were old enough to vote (and could). You see back then, not all Blacks or women could vote in some states.

I'll get an answer for you brother

Ok my Brother, I talked to my 80+ year old aunt in Farmville, VA who spent her adult years in Mt. Vernon NY. She says that while JFK was exciting, Obama got him beat by miles. Obama is an intelligent, articulate, good looking, Black man. Well educated, and well spoken with an even temper. She also was very critical of Bill Clinton for making this election a Black-White issue. She went as far as to call Bill Clinton a bigot. But Barack Obama is a whole different animal. Never to be compared to a White man. You Feel me?

Its not about a comparison of black and white it is about politics. It is about change, and revolution of the way things have been done. It is about giving people the hope back... that there is someone that is pulling for the good of all instead of a select few wealthy individuals and cooperations. A sense of American pride that is not falsified from fear of outside threat, but from a conscience movement of building a better tomorrow for ALL Americans. Is that not what JFK did for America?
